Speed to Market with Azure Search (SAS)

Upgraded Azure Search Service is absolutely amazing. It is a great solution when you have “Speed to market” on your mind.  You can delegate the search process of your documents/tables to the service and focus on core capabilities of your application.

Here is a scenario: You need to search some document  (Example: JSON) from datasource [CosmosDB/SQL/Blob Storage] and then display the results to a user. You also need to define some rules and some dependencies. Then, you will have user controls with defaults and search criteria etc. This all is doable, but then if you need to add more fields or make changes there is time and money involved.

An alternative better solution is to use Azure Search as a Service. The service is mapped to you data source and then use AZSearch Generator tool to generate the app for performing the search. The entire process takes less than 10 mins to create a full text search page, which you can include in your solution.
